Terms of Service

By creating an account or using BJJ Lab (the "app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The service

BJJ Lab is a training journal for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — it helps you log sessions, build a technique library, map game plans, track injuries, and review your progress. It is provided for personal, informational use.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.

3. Subscriptions & billing

BJJ Lab offers a 3-day free trial, after which certain features require an auto-renewable subscription (Monthly or Yearly).
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable; refund requests are handled by Apple.

⚠️ Injury & safety disclaimer. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a physical contact sport with inherent risks. BJJ Lab is a training log and planning tool — not medical, health, or coaching advice. The injury and "train-around" features are informational only. Always train under qualified supervision, warm up properly, tap early, and consult a doctor or physiotherapist about any injury. You train at your own risk.

4. The AI coach

The in-app AI coach provides general, automated information about jiu-jitsu. It can be inaccurate and is not a substitute for a qualified instructor. Use your judgement and defer to your coach at the gym.

5. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app: no unlawful activity, no attempts to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, and no uploading of content you don't have the right to use.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the training content you create. You grant us the limited rights needed to store and display it back to you and operate the service.

7. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BJJ Lab is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any injury arising from your training. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

10. Apple App Store

These Terms are concluded between you and BJJ Lab only, and not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product-liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer-protection or privacy law. Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual-property rights. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist supporting," and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.

11. Governing law & language

Except where the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence require otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable statutory rights you have as a consumer under your local law. These Terms are provided in English; if we make a translated version available and there is any conflict, the English version prevails.
